I am so excited to introduce my latest pattern to you, the Herringbone Hobo Purse! Scroll through the photos above and check it out – I’m a huge fan of the shape, and I’m happy to finally use the herringbone stitch, as it’s been on my list for nearly a year now just waiting for the perfect project.

Of course, you’re already a bit familiar with the Herringbone Hobo Purse, as an earlier version was one of the options for the Fall Knit Along. This was by far the most popular option, and I’m so excited it won!

I made a video all about it, all about the supplies, all about the timeline. (Or keep scrolling for text!)

    Hi Kristin,
I love the purse!! So happy it won. I would love to know where to purchase the strap, as well as where to find size 19 needles.
I would like 5 weeks for the KAL but I’m flexible.
    Take Care!

I’m so glad you’re joining!! Five weeks seems to be the most popular option, thank you for letting me know!

Purse straps can be purchased at most craft stores, like Joann’s. I purchased my strap on Amazon here: http://amzn.to/2yujTpB

I purchased the needles at my local yarn store, but I’ve also seen that size at Joann’s. If you’d like to purchase at Amazon as well, you can check these out: http://amzn.to/2xYuiww

    Hi Kristin,
I have a couple of questions. I have started my bag, is it always so tight knitting? I did my cast on pretty loose but I’m still having trouble trying to knit. Does it get easier?
Also I’m starting row 3 where you cast 2 stitches I’m having problems trying to figure out how to do it. Can you give me a pointer?
